Health fresh avocados

Avocados are not only delicious, but are also full of healthy nutrients.

Healthy fats
Most fats in an avocado are mono-unsaturated fatty acids; omega-9. Monounsaturated fatty acids reduce the level of bad cholesterol in the blood thereby increasing the risk of heart and vascular diseases. And MIRA avocado oil contains omega-3 and omega-6.

An average avocado contains about 4 grams of protein, this is much more than in most other fruits.

The sugar content in avocados is low in comparison with other fruits. A half avocado contains about 0.2 grams of sugar.

Vitamins and minerals
Avocados are an excellent source of potassium (containing by weight more than bananas). Avocados are rich in vitamins K, B9, B6, B5, C, D and E.

Dietary fiber
An average avocado contains 11 grams of fiber, which is almost half the daily recommended amount of fiber.
